This is a permanent role, with flexible working hours (need to work – evenings / weekends / deal with call-outs).The Caretaker is responsible for presenting the interior and exterior of the church buildings in a clean, tidy, well repaired condition at all times, including deep cleaning of areas when required.  Will maintain security of the buildings at all times, especially when buildings are let out to outside organisations. Ability to work with minimum supervision and to use their own initiative. Set up / set down for all events at the church. Have a general understanding of the services within the building e.g. boilers, heating, lighting and alarm. Supervise both paid and unpaid cleaning staff. From this common place there are different expressions of living. We as a church family align ourselves alongside the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
